Hill Country Chess is dedicated to bringing quality chess awareness, instruction,
and tournaments to the Hill country.
Hill Country Chess is primarily designed to help children and adolescents develop cognitive
skills for later in life.

The Hill Country Holiday Challenge will be played at the spacious First Baptist Church on December 6th, 2008. Details can be found on the tournament link. Please register early as that helps us purchase more trophies and medals.

This will be the last tournament of the year, and special prizes will be awarded during this event. Please spread the word and register early, thank you for your support of scholastic Chess.

Please send me an e-mail if you are not on our e-mail list, that way we can keep you informed on Hill Country Chess events.

If you, and or your child, is new to tournament chess I have included a link that will help answer some questions pertaining to participation, etc.  http://home.comcast.net/~danheisman/Scholastics/Dialog.htm. I am not Dan Heisman but I think his novice nook articles at www.chesscafe.com are excellent for beginning players.
